Metazet announces fully automated production process for higher efficiency
In need of their cultivation activities, Metazet takes fully automated wire bending process in operation for the production of stemsupports
(4 November 2025)
As of today, Metazet has implemented a fully automated wire bending process, which is carried out completely autonomously from raw material to packaging, eliminating the need for employees to manually move the semi-finished products to the final bending process and prepare them for the binding process at different machines.
Metazet devises and manufactures modernisation solutions for the horticultural sector. These include the so-called “cultivation gutters” that promote crop growth. These cultivation gutters are assembled with stem supports, which are brackets made of thick iron wire, available in various shapes and sizes.
These stem supports are manufactured using CNC bending machines. Because it is not possible to perform the final bending operation on this machine, this is currently still done manually on another bending bench. This leads to unnecessary manpower and blockages, which means that the line does not run efficiently. The new automated bending system can be used for all typest 2D stem supports, making the process highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of product variants within the cultivation gutter assembly line.
